The word Maraka means death. The planets and houses which signifies the death of an individual is called Maraka in vedic astrology. The planets and houses which gives hurdles in life to achieve good results are called Badhaka in vedic astrology. In vedic astrology Maraka could be Badhaka and vise versa. The consideration of it depends on the finding of the events. Maraka house could be auspicious when we try to see marriage of an individual.
